The Dorothy Wordsworth Festival of Women's Poetry 2014

For those of you living in the north just a quick note to let you know about a forthcoming literary event that may be of interest.

Grasmere, a delightful village in the heart of the Lake district, is once again playing host to the Dorothy Wordsworth Festival of Women's Poetry. This 3 day event, held in association with the poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy, is running from 11th-13th April and features readings, talks, workshops and conversations with poets such as Patience Agabi, Gillian Allnutt, Menna Elfyn and Sinead Morrissey.

Even if you think that poetry is not for you it's certainly likely to be a thought provoking and interesting event. Also, if you haven't been to this part of the Lake District it really is a glorious location, especially at this time of year when Grasmere is awash with daffodils wondering lonely as a cloud; swaying gently in the breeze in dappled sunlight.
